GRADING SYLLABUS
All grades will show to the grading panel the ability in performing techniques relevant to there grade and at a level appicable to the grade being taken. If the student is successful then the grade will be noted and signed in the licence and will be eligible to wear a belt colour applicable to the grade achieved.
Dependant on grades being taken the following will be required;
Basic Techniques - Punches/kicks/blocks
Combination Techniques - Blocks, kicks and punches
Pairwork - Maegeri - Mawashigeri - Jodanzuki - Chudanzuki
Formal Pairwork - Kihon 1 to 10
Kata - Pinan and advanced
Competition Fighting - Shiai
Free Fighting - Ji Yu Kumite
10th kyu - white
9th kyu - green tag
8th kyu - yellow and white
7th kyu -yellow
6th kyu-orange
5th kyu - green
4th kyu - purple
3rd kyu - brown
2nd kyu - brown
1st kyu - brown white strip
1st dan and above - black
ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE AN UP TO DATE LICENCE AT ALL TIMES - IT IS A REQUIREMENT TO TRAIN AND GRADE WITHIN THE GRIFFIN KARATE CLUB - ALL STUDENTS WHEN ATTEMPTING A GRADE MUST SUPPLY THE LICENCE AND GRADING FEE AND MUST WEAR A CLEAN WHITE GI AND BELT COLOUR APPLICABLE TO EXISTING GRADE.
